Holidays to Aruba
Aruba is located in the Southern Caribbean just off the coast of Venezuela. The island is positioned away from the hurricane belt and has more sunny days than any other Caribbean island.
Temperatures average 82F year round with a slight dip in temperatures from November through to February.
Aruba has some of the finest beaches in the world, the most popular being Eagle Beach and Palm Beach. Eagle Beach is the lowrise side with more boutique style hotels and apartments. Palm Beach is the busier side with the larger hotels which has attracted the bigger hotel names such as Riu, Occidental and Marriott.
The capital city of Oranjestad is only a 10 minute drive from the main tourist area and a regular bus services the city and resorts. The official currently in Aruba is the Aruban Florin although US Dollars are widely accepted.
As you would imagine in the Caribbean, life in Aruba is very laid back and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Aruba is home to a population of 105,000 inhabitants which is made up of a broad international mixture of well-educated people with a pleasant nature and a zest for hospitality. The modern Aruban is generally of mixed ancestry, claiming Caquetio Indian, African and European roots. Aruba's strong economy, excellent living conditions and prime weather continue to attract individuals from all over the world. Today, the island claims more than 90 different nationalities, who live and work peacefully on the island.
For those looking for a little nightlife, the Palm Beach area is the place to be with the main street lined with local restaurants and bars.
