Lux Grand Gaube is located moments away from the small fishing village of Grand Gaube and a 10 minute drive from the resort of Grand Baie on the North coast of Mauritius. It’s location affords some wonderful views of the coastal islands of Coin de Mire, Ilot Gabriel, Ile Ronde, Ile Plat and Ile aux Serpents.

Rooms

The resort comprises of 198 rooms and suites, all of which are sea-facing. Accommodation comprises of six room categories – 22 Superior rooms(43sqm), 104 Ocean Superior Rooms(43sqm), 46 Deluxe rooms(52sqm), 23 Junior Suites(70sqm), 2 Senior Suites(85sqm) and 1 Emperor Villa(288sqm).

All rooms feature furnished balcony or terrace, king size bed, air conditioning, bathroom with separate bath tub and shower, fitted wardrobe, Satellite TV, minibar, tea & coffee making facilities, safe, hairdryer and wi-fi access.

Restaurants & Bars

The kitchen is the resorts main restaurant and serves buffet breakfast and dinner and is open from 7am-10.30am and 7pm-10.30pm daily. The Beach Mediterranean restaurants opens for lunch 12.30pm-3pm and dinner 7.30pm-10.30pm daily. The Banyan Island Kitchen is reserved for adults only and opens for lunch from 12.30-3pm. Abalone is the resorts seafood restaurant and serves dinner from 7.30-10.30 daily. The main hotel bar opens until 1am.

Leisure facilities

LUX me Spa with 8 treatment rooms, 2 hot tubs, hammam, sauna, hair salon and beauty shop. The resort also offers a fully equipped fitness centre as well as an array of water and land sports. Complimentary water sports include : windsurfing, pedal boat, kayak, awua gym, sailing, snorkelling, glass-bottom boat and waterskiing as well as paid activities such as speedboat ride, PADI diving, big game fishing, catamaran cruise and diving with dolpins. Complimentary land sports include gym, beach volley, table tennis, bocce balls, tennis and yoga. Fees apply for mountain bikes, electronic games and golf nearby.

There is a daily programme of evening entertainment including local artists, themed evenings such as local Sega dancing or an in-house DJ.

The resort offer 3 swimming pools, one reserved for adults and for those wishing to arrive in style, the hotel has it’s own helipad.

Conditions.

All inclusive starts on arrival in resort and finishes at noon on day of departure. It is an additional supplement to the default meal plan.

The whole stay must be on the same meal plan. No compensation offered for non-consumed items.

All drinks and food items are for personal consumption and must be ordered one at a time.
