Destinations & Resorts
Tanzania lies on the Eastern side of the Central African continent and is borded by Kenya and Uganda to the North and Mozambique to the South and has an extensive coastline onto the Indian Ocean.
Tanzania is probably most famous for the conservation areas of the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater both offering some of the best wildlife viewing in the world. Tanzania however, does offer many more game viewing areas such as Selous which is generally less busy.
Off the coast of Tanzania is an archipelago of islands including Pemba and the more well know island of Zanzibar, the birthplace of Freddie Mercury.
For the fit and adventurous, Tanzania also offer climbing opportunities to the top of Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak.
At Island Escapes, we have chosen a selection of Safari options with a choice of overland or "fly-in" safaris. These have been carefully chosen to maximise your safari experience covering a diverse range of terrain with the best opportunity of view the "big 5" of Africa.
Bear in mind, that certain safari tented camps close during the rainy season.
We would highly recommend combining a safari with a relaxing 5-7 night stay in Zanzibar, the perfect tropical island destination with white sand beaches and a combination of Afro-Arabic culture.
