Serengeti Under Canvas

 

Serengeti Under Canvas is located in the Serengeti West area of northern Tanzania. Serengeti Under Canvas camps are situated at a variety of private campsites throughout the National Park and move according to the path of the migratory herds. Carefully positioned for close proximity to the wildlife herds of the Great Migration, the camps provide the ultimate viewpoint for this amazing animal spectacle. The camp moves between Ndutu, Grumeti, Seronera and Kogatende meaning that at any time of the year this camp will be in the best location for game viewing.

 

 

The camp offers 8 luxury tents with en-suite facilities nestled is a luxury mobile tented camp in the Serengeti National Park. Each tent at Serengeti Under Canvas has a chandelier hanging above the large and extremely comfortable beds which can be arranged as a twin or double. The bathroom at the rear of the tent is a standard toilet with an open air bucket shower which has a capacity of 30 litres of hot water. There is no mains electricity or running water, but a flush water closet, power outlets in the vehicles and a personal butler. 

 

The main area is located around the mess tent where guests have their meals and the adjacent tent which acts as the lounge area. It has comfortable sofas, antiques and books and is ideal place to relax. A dedicated sitting and dining tent provides deep sofas from which to contemplate the vastness and peace of the surrounding landscape. Custom made Indian rugs and polished brass samovars add a touch of elegance.

 

 

Day 01

Morning transfer to Arusha Airport for a scheduled flight to Seronera Airstrip (flight booked by Ranger Safaris).  The flight departs at 0800 and arrives at 0930.  On arrival, you are met by the camp’s driver and proceed by road to the camp. You have a chance to relax and settle in at the camp.  After lunch, you participate in a scheduled shared game drive in Serengeti National Park activity.  Dinner and overnight at the camp with soft drinks, coffee, tea, bottled water, juices, house wine, domestic beer and non-premium local spirits included.

Day 02

You participate in morning and afternoon scheduled shared game drive in Serengeti National Park with meals and overnight at the camp with soft drinks, coffee, tea, bottled water, juices, house wine, domestic beer and non-premium local spirits included.

Day 03

You have a last chance to view the wildlife as you transfer to the airstrip.  You fly by scheduled flight back to Arusha.  The flight departs at 0945 and arrives at 1215.  You are met on arrival and transferred to Arusha Town Centre to connect to your onward arrangements.
